Bio

Maria has over 25 years of experience teaching music to students of all ages and levels. She is a flute player, musicologist, author and teacher. She holds many degrees in music from the University of Calgary and the University of Toronto. She has appeared as a guest numerous times on CBC radio and other networks in North America. In addition, she has performed as soloist with orchestras and ensembles, including the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. As a trained Suzuki Flute Teacher, she enjoys working with children as young as five years of age. Maria will travel to student’s own home in Edmonton West/Southwest areas.

Teaching Info

Having taught at music conservatories and universities, Maria can customize lessons to individual students. She is comfortable teaching students of all levels. She can prepare students for Royal Conservatory of Music exams, university or college auditions, or teach them to improve and have fun learning a new instrument.
