Hi, I’m Todd Mumford, a Vancouver drum teacher and lifelong musician. I started piano at 9 and discovered drums at 13. I never had formal drum lessons myself, so I know what it’s like to learn step by step, build real confidence, and get comfortable behind the kit.

My lessons are fun, relaxed, and supportive. We focus on the music you love while building the fundamentals that make playing feel easier: timing, groove, coordination, technique, and musicality. I offer drum lessons in Vancouver in person, plus online drum lessons. I teach all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced players who want to level up.

Technique: rudiments, stick control, reading and rhythm basics
Coordination and style: independence, groove, timing, and applying the skills to the style you want
Songs and projects: learn songs you love and build parts that sound musical
Finish with something you can play: you leave feeling good and motivated

I adapt to how you learn, set clear milestones, and give you a simple roadmap that connects practice to your goals. No pressure, no perfectionism.
