Bio

Evgenia has spent five years working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of British Columbia’s School of Music, where she taught 8 semesters of one-on-one piano classes to undergraduate musicians.

Her previous teaching experience includes four years of teaching in New York. Between 2011 and 2015, Evgenia worked as an independent piano instructor in Manhattan. She was simultaneously employed at the Mannes School of Music, where she taught supplementary theory classes at the request and recommendation of the faculty after being nominated to work as a department-recommended theory tutor, helping students with their theory coursework. At the same time, Evgenia taught off-campus supplementary piano classes to students in the Mannes Preparatory Division under the supervision of elder faculty.

From 2013 to 2014, Evgenia worked as an Office Registrar while maintaining her teaching practice. In 2017, she was the Social Media Manager for Music Fest Perugia while also appearing as a performing artist for the festival in the same year. She is also a former Artist in Residence of Showcase Pianos.

Evgenia has been working as an educator with children for over 10 years. She began tutoring math, science, and English to children in elementary school, with a focus on helping gifted students. Since 2010, she has been focused on working with gifted young musicians and high achievers across musical disciplines.

After her return from New York to Vancouver, Evgenia resumed teaching piano privately from her studio in Burnaby, founding first the Vancouver Piano Studio, and later the RR Academy with her husband and chamber partner Nicholas Rada. Besides teaching piano, Evgenia teaches theory, harmony, history, and composition, and provides performance and chamber coachings for young musicians of all instruments.
