Founded in 1969, the Vancouver Academy of Music (VAM) is a non-profit institution spreading a love of learning and musical excellence. Minutes away from downtown in a traffic-calmed location, VAM’s spacious facilities offer a home for music-making against the scenic backdrop of Vancouver’s waterfront and the fields of Vanier Park.

VAM’s purpose is to serve as a platform for lifelong personal development by advancing the transformative power of music. Teaching Info

VAM’s faculty roster contains internationally recognized educators and Vancouver’s leading performers providing expert instruction for all ages and skill levels. VAM lesson packages provide flexibility allowing scheduling at the mutual convenience of the student and teacher.

• Trial (1 lesson)
• Half-semester package (9 lessons)*
• Single-semester package (18 lessons)
• Custom package (number of lessons to be decided with the teacher)*
• Summer lessons (offered July and August, number of lessons to be decided with the teacher)

*Students wishing to register for fewer than 18 lessons per semester must obtain permission from their private teacher.
