Bio
I have taught singers and voice users from all levels in 1:1 sessions for 16+ years, and I have taught group classes for over 20 years. As a voice teacher, I believe it’s so important to keep up with the latest education on vocal technique, pedagogy, voice science and vocal health.
As a lifelong singer, performer and musician, I understand what it’s like to be a student in the performing arts world. To this day, I continue to train my voice and study the art of voice teaching with my mentors. I am a graduate of the UBC School of Music, and I hold a Level 5 Mentor Instructor Certificate from the Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA). I received my Speech Level Singing Certification and studied it for over 10 years. In 2022, I received my Vocal Health First Aid Level 2 Qualification (Vocal Health UK). My training and expertise is in contemporary singing technique for the modern day vocalist.
I’ve worked with and consulted with some of the world’s top groundbreaking voice experts including Seth Riggs, Greg Enriquez, Wendy Parr, Raab Stevenson, Mindy Pack, and Spencer Welch.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to enrol in professional development courses and attend many voice conferences.

Singing should feel balanced, powerful and expressive.
The vocal technique that I teach is based on the founding principles of vocal technique – bel canto which means “beautiful singing” – adapted for modern day contemporary singers.
Training in this technique gives the singer, no matter the style, access to all dynamics, with tonal clarity and flexibility. Also, training in this technique helps improve a singer’s range, endurance, stamina, breath management, resonance, vocal strength and quality across all styles of music without fatigue or damage to the voice.
