Bio

Music is a language that can be shared, nurtured and developed. With our Vancouver Music Lessons we will guide you and help you play the music that moves you and the people around you. All skill levels are welcome, to experience fun, practical and holistic music lessons using the Solar Method. We facilitate the creativity of our students by promoting the art of composition and songwriting as a means for musical growth. Then we guide you on how to release your art into your community and the public domain. The combination of these ideals, wisdom, and experience is now known as Solar Music Academy.

Teaching Info

At Solar Music Academy, we view the instrument as a vehicle for our students to express their identity. These lessons are centered on the idea that the instrument should become an extension of oneself through integrating technique, vocabulary, and ear training specific to the instrument. We also offer the flexibility for students to learn music through multiple instruments.

All instrument lessons are unique and customized to each student. Through the Solar Music Method, we are able to deliver musical wisdom to our students in a way that they can be receptive to and understand deeply. We steer the focus away from the traditional method of learning to pass an exam or grades and instead focus on creating a fluency across the instrument that can be applied for the rest of their life.
