HY ACADEMY Academy was founded by Steinway Young Artist Ms. Yiming Huan in 2017. It is now the largest one-stop piano school in the Great Vancouver area. It is also one of the 200 Designated Steinway-Select Schools around the world.

Teaching Info

HY ACADEMY Academy is renowned for its outstanding student achievements. In all RCM practical, music theory exams in the past years, 90% of their students received first class honors and above.  In the Canadian Music Competition, HY ACADEMY students have received top three standings nationwide. Furthermore, for those students looking for career in music and / or preparing for university entrances, HY ACADEMY has helped many of their students to be successfully accepted by the top 10 music schools globally, as well as world-class Ivy League universities including Harvard and Yale.

HY ACADEMY Academy is the first private institution, across the globe, to use the flagship Steinway Piano- 9 foot Model D Concert Grand with Spirio Record,  in its teaching and performances. The investment in the best quality piano, which has auto playback and recording functions, demonstrates the school’s commitment to excellence in every aspect. HY ACADEMY holds student concerts regularly and prepares students for national and international competitions, allowing them to have the most diverse opportunities to learn and perform on stage.
