When I say I’m qualified, I mean business – my credentials speak for themselves:

🎓 I hold an Honours degree in Music Education, specializing in choral and elementary music education, earned at Brandon University. 🎹 I proudly possess an Associate Diploma in piano performance and an Associate Diploma in piano teaching from the prestigious Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. 🎵 I’ve undergone extensive training in Carl Orff music education, reaching level 3. 🎖️ 🎤 Additionally, I’ve served as a Festival Adjudicator.

My journey as a piano instructor began when I was a teenager, and I’ve accumulated a wealth of experience since then. Countless students have not only learned but thrived under my guidance, leaving with smiles of satisfaction and musical prowess.

Now, let’s talk logistics: 🎼 Lessons are priced at just $30 per half-hour session for weekly lessons or $120 per month (in Canadian funds). Advanced students may require longer sessions. 💰 Payments can be conveniently made via e-transfer.

To get the most out of your piano lessons, you’ll need a few essentials at home: 🎹 A piano or a high-quality keyboard. 📚 Piano books that match your skill level.

• Associate Diplomas from The Royal Conservatory of Toronto in Piano Performance and Piano Teaching achieving the highest mark in Manitoba on the written pedagogy exam
• Orff Music for Children Specialist Level 3 certification and winner of the Gunild Keetman National award
• Taught at International Music Camp at the Peace Gardens for 6 years
• Had a student achieve the silver medal for achieving the highest mark in Manitoba in grade 8 piano

Teaching Info

Students will receive instruction in piano repertoire, technique, improvisation, composing, music history and music theory.

Students wanting to compete in Festival or take Royal Conservatory of Music piano or theory exams will be prepared to do so.

Students are expected to practice every day at home.

Parents are expected to listen to the student practice once a week and sign the student’s scribbler.

There will be two recitals per year.
