Vocal Coach Brian Farrell’s energy, engaging personality, extensive education, musicianship, and understanding of vocal training and performance make him stand out as one of Canada’s top vocal coaching professionals.

Brian is passionate about helping people find their signature sound through voice training in a variety of musical styles. He offers individual or group singing lessons in pop, rock, country, contemporary, gospel, R&B, jazz, and classical. Brian has had great success performance coaching seasoned artists looking to take their vocal technique and stage presence to a new level of excellence. As Artistic Director of Revv52 for 24 years, Brian created an imprint that will last a lifetime with concerts spanning from The Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show to Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Currently, Brian is the Artist Director of Mountaintop Gospel Choir & Band in Calgary.  The Choir performs the Gospel Music of The Chicago Mass Choir, The Mississippi Mass Choir, Fred Hammond, Ricky Dillard, Kirk Franklin, Richard Smallwood and other noted traditional Gospel Artists.

Brian’s warm sense of humor and thoughtful caring approach to vocal training fosters an environment of openness, trust, and mutual respect. As a vocal coach, Brian inspires singers to be fearless and encourages them to bring their energy, personality, and passion to the learning process.

Brian received his Bachelor of Musical Arts (B.Mus A.Hons.) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and completed his Master of Arts (M.A.) degrees from the University of Western Ontario. He also studied at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, The University of Western Michigan, and completed his Master of Arts at San Diego State University. Brian has been featured in “The World’s Who’s Who In Jazz, Cabaret, Music, and Entertainment”.

Brian works on and off site as a vocal coach for singers, songwriters, bands, soloists, television and radio presenters, professionals, as well as organizations.

Brian explores sound, groove, and story with singers. Singers learn about breath control, developing consistency, tone, and extending their vocal range with control through their vocal breaks. All of this adds to the ability of singers to develop their signature sound and find their way effortlessly into the story within the song.
